| Job Information | The Technical Officer reports to the Parasitologist based at the Werribee campus of the Faculty of Veterinarian and Agricultural Sciences at The University of Melbourne. This is a continuing position and a great role for someone who thrives on dedication, excellent teamwork, and demonstrates meticulous attention to fine details. The Technical Assistant in Parasitology is responsible for training undergraduate and postgraduate students in practical aspects of parasitology, providing an extensive parasitological service to the U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital. The incumbent must manage and maintain all laboratory resources and equipment, including the sourcing, purchase and some specialized maintenance of research/teaching animals and biological specimens.
