Taxonomy: f. Culicidae
Animal: Mosquito (epidemiology) 2 03.jpg
Mosquito epidemiology - mixed feeding of Anopheles sp in Africa. see Boreham and Lenahan 1976. Bull ent. Res. 66: 671-679; Boreham. 1975. J. Trop. Med Hyg. 78: 83-91. Interrupted feeding is important in disease transmission. PFL Boreham did a significant amount of research on blood meals of mosquitoes and other arthropods to answer epidemiological questions. Work to investigate the significance of multiple feeding by Peter and his colleagues was supported by WHO and MRC grants - see Boreham. PFL. 1988. DSc.
