Technical Services Manager, Livestock – Sydney, Melbourne or Regional

Reporting to the Manager of the Business Unit you will be the key person responsible for the technical support provided both internally (sales and marketing) and externally to customers and specialists such as veterinarians. You will be considered to be the most technically aware and handle issues where scientific objectivity is paramount.

This is a varied and interesting role where you will be responsible for the technical education and training mainly in the fields of vaccines and parasitology and the technical positioning of products.  You will be working closely with marketing to ensure the technical accuracy of information and coordination of marketing trials.

Your excellent communication skills will involve you presenting at conferences and imparting technical and veterinary information to the market place. This will also involve you in the management of investigations to any adverse reactions and questions regarding “off label” usage and concomitant usage of other drugs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Veterinary Science / Animal Science and / or Parasitology
• Minimum of 3 years commercial and practical experience with cattle and / or sheep. Prior experience with an animal health company will be highly valued.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Sound computer Microsoft office suite skills – including PowerPoint.
• Must be a team player and be available to travel Australia wide on a frequent basis approximately 33% of the time.

Ideally, you will be based within commuting distance of an Eastern States capital city for interstate traveling purposes.
